The guitar’s vintage soapbar P-90s immediately resonated with the artist, and Joe and Seymour Duncan have re-created their magic in the "Pawn Shop Special" 1961 P90 Set. Featuring Alnico IV magnets and a custom wind to produce the beloved sizzle that so thoroughly captured Joe’s imagination, guitarists find the set’s vintage voicing hits the sweet spot between single-coil clarity and humbucker weight. Boasting a thick, expressive midrange, these pickups remain open and airy at the top end, never sacrificing that full-throated bite when driven. Never one to skimp on details, the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop even built historically accurate dimpled bottom plates, re-created the covers, and added other period-correct details unique to the original pickups. Wax-potted to Joe's own specifications, every "Pawn Shop Special" 1961 P90 Set brings the guitarist’s quintessential P-90 tone to any guitar you drop them into.

Features

Custom Shop re-creation of the vintage soapbar P-90 pickups from Joe Bonamassa's 1961 Gibson SG Special

Alnico IV magnets with a custom wind deliver an airy top end and sizzle over a thick, expressive midrange

Classic P-90 voice bridges single-coil clarity and humbucker weight, with plenty of bark under overdrive

Historically accurate dimpled bottom plate, covers, and period-correct details designed specifically for this project

Wax-potted to Bonamassa's specification for squeal-free performance at high stage volume

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0054/9466/9382/files/Seymour-Duncan-P90-Joe-Bonamassa-Pawn-Shop-Special-Set-11828-628.webp?v=1789063920
https://shop.musicredone.com/products/seymour-duncan-custom-shop-joe-bonamassa-pawn-shop-special-1961-p90-pickup-set
