Gibson-manufactured pickups – lifetime of original retail purchaser
Other factory-installed electronics and parts – 3 years from date of purchase
Instrument body and other materials – lifetime of original retail purchaser
Coverage:
Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
Labor, materials, and parts for necessary repairs
Replacement instrument if repair is not possible, with value not exceeding original purchase price
Exclusions:
Altered or modified instruments, including tampered serial numbers or altered warranty cards
Damage from misuse, negligence, accident, or improper operation
Subjective tonal characteristics
Shipping damage
Exposure to extremes of humidity or temperature
Normal wear and tear (frets, machine heads, plating, strings, finish)
Unauthorized dealer purchases or repairs
Instruments with non-Gibson pickups beyond 3 years
No warranty on playability if action is significantly altered
